Privacy Policy & Data Retention

1. Our Core Privacy Promise

At KnotPatrika, we treat Indian wedding invitations with utmost family respect and confidentiality. Unlike general event platforms:

• We never message your guests uninvited: Families forward invitation links from their own personal WhatsApp or SMS, and we never send invitations or marketing. The one exception: on plans that include reminders, a guest who says yes and ticks “send me a WhatsApp reminder” gets a single reminder message before each function. Nothing else, and it stops if they reply again without the tick.
• We never sell or monetize guest phone numbers: Guest contact numbers and names are solely accessible to the host family who created the invitation.
• Zero third-party advertising or trackers: We do not run third-party advertising networks or marketing pixels on your invitation pages.

2. 90-Day Automatic Data Deletion

To protect the privacy of you and your relatives, all guest names, phone numbers, RSVP headcounts, and blessing notes are automatically deleted from our production databases 90 days after the final function of your celebration. Guest lists in invitations that were never published are deleted after 180 days.

3. Information Collected

When creating an invitation or submitting an RSVP, we collect:

• Hosts: Host name, optional email, mobile number (shown to guests as the family contact, and used to sign you in with a one-time code), and event schedule details.
• Guests: Name, optional mobile number (for RSVP identification and, only if they ask for it, WhatsApp reminders), headcount, dietary/attendance status, and optional congratulatory message.

Photos & wedding websites

• Photos are shrunk in your browser before upload, and location (GPS) and camera details are removed.
• Photos guests share stay hidden until the family approves them. The family can delete any photo at any time.
• Gallery photos are kept until the family deletes them. The names of guests who uploaded them are removed with the rest of the guest data, 90 days after the last function.
• A family can protect its website with a password. Website pages are never listed in search engines.

4. Payments

Payments for Standard and Premium plans are securely processed through Razorpay. We do not store credit card, debit card, or UPI banking credentials on our servers.
